With Luna's usual attention to detail, the truss-rod cover at the top of the guitar neck is also decorated with stars and Greek letters as a continuation of the body design. The celestial detail is in the style of a seventeenth century atlas maker named Johann Bayer. He is most famous for his star chart Uranometria published in 1603 which featured elegant mythological etchings and was the first atlas to cover the entire celestial sphere.
